Description

Baymar Solutions' Fractional HR division has a client located in Clearwater, FL that is hiring for a full-time, permanent Welder/Pipefitter. Our client specializes in water recycling and energy conservation systems.

Job Type: Hourly and non-exempt (eligible for overtime)

Interview Process: If experience is relevant and applicable to job posting, Baymar will conduct a phone screen, then an in-person interview at our facility in Odessa, FL. An interview on-site with the client will then be scheduled.

Responsibilities
  • Proficient Mig and Tig Welder
  • Ability to read blue prints/mechanical drawings to build assemblies
  • Attach pipes to structures, fixtures, tanks using clamps, welding equipment and brackets
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding
  • Use specific tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, benders, and welders
  • Plan piping system layouts, installations or repairs according to specifications
  • Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, unites, fitting and related machines and equipment following specification using hand and power tools
  • Ability to 2-hole flanges, center elbows and T’s
  • Identify, report and correct hazards
  • Ability to measure, perform construction math and calculate slopes
  • Read and interpret plans, including pipe restraint joint charts
  • Proper techniques for joining different types of pipe; push joint, MJ, restrained joints, TR Flex and flanged
Qualifications

Qualifications for Pipefitter:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Basic Math including fractions
  • Punctual
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated
  • Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal

Additional Requirements for Pipefitter:

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Work inside in all Florida weather conditions.
  • Hearing, eye protection, and steel toed boots required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
