Jennifer M.
HR and Business Operations - Fractional Consulting

Jennifer Morris is Baymar’s renaissance woman. She joined Baymar in fall of 2020 to provide support in their growth. She started in talent acquisition, then created a role for HR as it was needed, and has been in growth mode ever since.

Jen has been in talent acquisition and management since 2012, with a background in hospitality. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of South Florida. Her strength lies in problem-solving, admittedly much differently than the STEM professionals she works with.

When people ask her about what she does, she says she works with and supports very, very smart people who develop tools and instruments to continue our understanding of disease diagnosis. Jen acknowledges that she will always be learning from the engineers, scientists, and manufacturing professionals that she is privileged to work with, and that’s one of her favorite parts of working for Baymar.

Jen’s dream job as a kid (and it still is) was to be a professional writer. Outside of work, she stays busy running after her two kids, using her husband as a guinea pig for healthy recipes, and spending time with her family. Food bribe: chocolate. Favorite meal: Avocado Sandwiches.

Sean B.
Director of Technical Services

Sean Burcham is Baymar Solutions’ Program Manager and has been part of the team for five years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida and is an active member of both the National Defense Industry Association and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Sean is a true asset to Baymar Solutions and is a strong project manager and planner. He enjoys product design transfer projects and feels strongly that the client’s success is a direct reflection of Baymar’s success.

When asked what the most valuable lessons he’s learned at Baymar are, he says, “Always ask yourself if you are providing value to the team and/or project. Be versatile in your skillset as an engineer.”

At a young age, Sean knew he wanted to be an engineer, and working on cars with his father lead him to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer. He enjoys the outdoors and teaching his daughter all about nature. His favorite food is Haagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream.

Alexis V.
Lead Senior Scientist

Alexis Valentin-Vargas is a Lead Senior Scientist with Baymar Solutions. He has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Microbiology, an M.S. in Microbiology, and a B.S. in Environmental Technology, from the University of Arizona and the University of Puerto Rico.

Alexis has over seven years in the industry and has now been part of Baymar for over 4 years. One of his strongest skill sets is his creativity and his unique ability to work with people throughout every aspect of a project. He knows that budgets and timelines are important to every job, but the difference between a successful project and a failure ultimately boils down to how well the team works together.

Alexis is an Eagle Scout who growing up wanted to be an engineer, but prior to college became very interested in environmental science and biology, thus pursuing a scientific career instead. Nowadays he enjoys working with engineers and being part of an engineering-based team. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, painting, and graphic design. His favorite foods are pizza and Puerto Rican food (of course!)

During his 8 years at Baymar, Mitch has continued to learn new skills and feels that his work developing life– saving medical devices are awards within themselves!

Along with everyone on Team Baymar, Mitch prides himself on the accuracy and quality of the services he provides and knows that, in such a highly regulated industry, quality is the number one priority. He knows that everyone at Baymar is striving towards the best possible outcome and he has the support he needs to get any project done.

When he was a child, his dream job was to be a pilot. But now, when Mitch isn’t working on medical devices, he enjoys working on cars, playing tennis, and making his own pizza. It’s no surprise that pizza is also his favorite food! (Neapolitan, to be exact!)

Dale A.
Engineering Manager

Dale Anderson is a Development Engineer with a BSME from Utah State University and has been with Baymar since early 2020.

Dale loves new product development. Finding creative mechanical solutions to solve problems and developing new hardware is his number one strength in engineering, which Dale has been working in for 40 years. At Baymar, Dale develops many different types of machines and instruments, no two projects are the same. A lesson learned from working at Baymar in the medical device industry is that these devices value quality and performance and are much less focused on cost.

When Dale was a kid, he wanted to be a race car driver, and even though he’s not zooming around the pro track these days, you can find him going fast on roller coasters, or working on classic cars. Bicycling is another hobby, and Dale says his favorite food is a bowl of fresh peaches and vanilla ice cream.

Jacob Dukelow Headshot
Jacob D.
Associate Engineer

Jacob joined Baymar as a Senior Engineering Student from the University of Arizona, in spring of 2022. He was specializing in Aerospace Engineering when we reached out to him to see if he’d like to give medical device a spin, and fortunately for us, he liked it! Now he’s never looking back.

Jacob graduated with his BSME in May of 2022 from U of A, and is living his dream as he’s wanted to be an Engineer since he was a child. His favorite project is design and development, but his strongest skill is process knowledge and comprehension.

What he’s learned so far from working at Baymar: “Don’t be afraid to help others or ask for help. Keeping in close communication with PMs and clients boosts efficiency and visibility of projects. Communicating solutions effectively is essential to business flow and quality.” He enjoys that we’re a small but effective team, we keep the stress low and he values the enterprise company exposure he gets from our bigger clients.

When he’s not at work he likes to run, read, play video games and fantasy football. His favorite go-to meal is the Costa Vida Sweet Pork Burrito, but only when smothered with Mild Sauce.

Kale K Headshot Baymar
Kale K.
Associate Mechanical Engineer

Kale is one of our Associate Mechanical Engineers, and has known Baymar for quite some time. Kale has 13 years of industry experience and a degree in Drafting and Design. What makes Kale stand out is his ability to adapt, and quickly (we like that, it’s one of our core values).

When Kale was a kid he wanted to be a firefighter. We think he’s pretty close since the work Baymar does helps patients and saves lives. In his free time, he loves spending time with his dog, playing disc golf, or you might find him rock climbing in one of Arizona’s many destinations for outdoorspeople.

If asked about Baymar and his job, Kale tells people that he assists with the development and manufacturing of medical devices that have a positive impact on people affected by cancer and other serious ailments. He likes that his team at Baymar truly cares about the impact they have, and it’s constantly reflected and adjusted to in the work we do, day in and day out. He loves team projects the most.

His favorite food can be found locally, at Falora in Tucson. Order the Cavatelli and you’ll know what the best thing Kale has ever eaten tastes like.
