Baymar is seeking an experienced TIG Welder. We supply all the tools and equipment except for your PPE.
We're doing welds on stainless steel for small manufactured parts, so a manufacturing background is highly preferred as these welds are not on large objects. Polishing and finishing is part of this job, too. Manual CNC Machine experience is a plus to set up small jobs.
This is a 40 hour per week commitment with flexible hours. We can work on a 1099 or W2 basis. For 1099, must supply proof of own WC liability insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on various metal components, including rig and ductwork
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Use plasma cutting equipment to prepare materials for welding
- Adhere to codes and standards for quality and safety in welding processes
- Conduct pipe threading and machining as needed for specific projects
- Operate press brake machine to bend and shape metal parts
- Solder joints and connections as required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a TIG welder or similar role
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques and equipment operation
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with codes and standards for welding processes
- Experience with plasma cutting, pipe threading, and machining is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently
